Jewelry Concrete, Decor Clay, Jovi Air Dry Clay how to use

Pentart has various products to help you achieve 3D effects in moulds and other projects. Let's look at some of the options available!

Jewelry Concrete: A very fine - grained, fast- drying concrete. Suitable for creating both smaller and larger castings. It can be used with silicone, soft pvc and gypsum moulds.

For best results, use 3D silicone molds rather than shallow molds. Use a scale to make the exact ratio (3:1).

For example:

  • Mix 100 ml Jewelry Concrete into a disposable cup with 30 ml water.

  • Stir the mixture with a popsicle stick till smooth and pour into the 3D silicon mould.

  • Gently tap the mould to release air bubbles and help the mixture spread better.

  • De-mould after 1-2 hours depending on the size and depth of the mould. Larger moulds could take up to 24 hours to dry.

Fun Tip: Add a few drops of Pigment Paste into the Jewelry Concrete to dye the mixture before pouring into the mould whether it be a vivid or marble effect.

Jewelry Concrete can be sanded, glued and painted with Pigment Paste, paint, or pastes.

Pro tip: clean the mold after usage with rubbing alcohol.

Decor Clay:

A water - based two component product.

  • Mix two parts of component B with one part component A over a a scale in a disposable cup.

  • Stir the mixture with a popsicle stick till smooth.

  • Pour it into a silicone mould and gently side tap the silicon mould to release air bubbles and help it spread better.

  • Then leave it to set for about 30-35 minutes. The result will be smooth as gypsum and unbreakable.

Objects created can be painted with, antique, rust, patina effects or pastes.

Tip: Decor clay is stronger for shallow moulds rather than Jewelry Concrete.

Jovi Air Drying Clay:

Is a non toxic, soft air drying clay that air dries within 24 hours. Like most clays, it's very versatile and easy to use.

  • Simply dust cornstarch into the silicon mould and apply the Jovi air drying clay.

  • Use a palette knife to scrap off the excess.

  • For detailed, shallow moulds, simply place the silicon mould into the freezer for 10-20 mins. After removing it from the freezer, the clay will pop right out.

Fun tip: Jovi air drying clay can be used in more than just silicone moulds. For example, it's easy to roll it out and make hand sculpted objects.

Jovi air drying clay comes in four colors:

  • Pure White

  • Stone Grey

  • Natural Terracotta

  • Sand Ochre
